Crusader Kings II next DLC OLD GODS

I love crusader kings 2 for those of you who do know it need no introduction but for those who have not played the game or never herd of it i shall fill you in. The premise of the game is to lead your family to greatness in the medieval age and there an numbers ways to do this like shear military might or perhaps you like to play politics to gain favor and to get your allies to do the fighting for you or by a good old fashioned snake in the bed, its a game with no clear win condition the game give you the tools and sets you loose on the world to re create history or change it.
The game also had RPG eliments to it as well as your monarch has stats that will affect how well he rules the realm and deals with his vassals its also important to groom your airs as the will be siting on your throne when you die so if he is laking in intrigue then he needs a good spy master as his close friend to watch his back and check his bed for snakes. so far there have been three other major expansions to the game the sword of islam witch allowed you to play as muslim rulers and the legacy or rome witch added new Byzantium empire events as well as new factional warfare in your kingdom and the Republic DLC where you can play as merchant republics Venice, Genoa, Pisa, the Hanseatic League or Gotland and allowed playes to become extremely Rich  by building trade posts and having control of the trade zones in the game but i am looking forward to the next DLC for one reason it has VIKINGS :O

yes i love vikings and its a shame they always seam to be left out in games the last time that had this much fouces was medieval the viking invasion but i am looking forward to this hears what we know.

  • Play as a Pagan chieftain and ravage your weak neighbors. If you remain at peace for too long, your people will grow restless...
  • New special start date in 867 AD: The Viking Rurik has founded the kingdom of Rus and the Great Heathen Army under the sons of Ragnar Lodbrok rampages through England.
  • Play as a Zoroastrian lord and restore your ancient religion to prominence.
  • Adventurers: Landless characters can gather armies and go off to carve out new realms on their own.
  • Prepared Invasions: Declare your intention to invade and watch your armies grow with adventurers and restless warriors, but don't wait too long to start your war or it might all fall apart...
  • Rebels with a Cause: Rebels are no longer a faceless menace – they are now led by characters with agendas.
  • Loot and pillage provinces. Burn down their cities and take their gold!
  • Sacrifice to Odin at the great Blot!
  • Christians and Muslims can dispatch missions to convert the depraved heathens.
  • New beautiful Pagan interface skin.
  • New events and decisions: berserkers, sejdr, curses, omens, divinations, runestones and much more.

first of all the start date is perfect its at the hight of the viking raids and raiding is what the vikings are known for the mechanics for this look grate as know you can set an army to a raiding army and the will loot and pillage a reaigon rather than take it. the other part that all so interests me is as you know the vikings are famous for there long boats that could not only sale the sea but where shallow enough so sail up rivers as well so a new addition to the map rivers have been added so you are not just limited to striking at costal areas witch will be interesting if you want to play as a a non viking faction and presents new challenges on how you will defend your self from such a  invasion as you will have to watch not only the seas but the rivers as well.

the other part i am loving is the viking army or the grate heathen army and the adventurer that will be in play as well starting as the army will allow you to carve out the viking kingdom in Britain and take on northumbria mercia and wessex it will be interesting to see how they will play in response to the invasion not only that but any non viking player will also have to deal with Adventures as well it will be interesting to see how that will affect the game world as well so far i have to say i am really looking forward to going a viking and sacrificing to odin.
