Are the Yu-Gi-Oh games that bad ?

Like many of us at sum point we all played a card game be it Magic the gathering or Yugioh being the big two currently out there at this time, So it stands to reason that sooner or later a video game was bound to be made at sum point witch brings us to the question at hand

Are the Yu-Gi-Oh games that bad ?

my response there alright

the home for the Yugioh for the past decade or so has been on the hand held and non other then the game boy has had the pleasure of collecting its rent for this time yes the game has made it to console like for the PS1 and PS2 and if you do like the card game then i would recommend you give Dueling Network a try, and it has made the jump to this generation as well on XBLA. But its true home is on the hand held partly for the connectivity the handhelds where able to provide to be able to battle you friends and trade cards with them, to give you an idea on how many there are one for the GBC eleven for the GBA and eight for the DS and more are planed for the 3DS.
The main criticism of the games is that that are all copy and past games and that is true but that hasn't stopped pokemon from being any fun to play, but say you are not in to the card game and do not know the rules can you still pick up and play the game yes you can all the games have a tutorial section to help you to understand the rules and the game play is also not as hard to a new player or old veteran its very accommodating to both new and old players.
But the most important thing is the AI there's no point in playing if the AI can not put up a fight and that one thing thay have always improved on and we have gone from a AI all ways playing traps and spells and unable to make a comeback to an AI that will hold off for the right moment to reveal its play and make the most ridicules comebacks the AI is all ways put for a challenge and will give the most seasoned card player a run for there money.
the other part of the games is the story mode fans of the show will follow in the foot steps of the main cast and take part in the duels of the show the story its self is not very deep in the games but it douse not need to its meant is to take you from one fight to the next so you can get what you came for DP so you can get CARD'S.
yes yugioh has been around for quite sum time and all the games have the most up to date card list and this is what attracts the card playing crowd so they can deck test and prepare for the real thing with out having to pay a small fortune for a single card that may or may not work in there deck.

but for the most important question should you get it ?
you can pick up a copy of the game relatively cheeply on the internet i got mine from Amazon for about £12 for the World championship 2011 game so if you are interested and new to the game its worth a shot to new and old players but the vets will probably opt for Dueling network as its free to play online and you play with real opponents but i must stress you need to know the rules as non of it is automatic.  But the big plus is how much play time you can get from the games i have at least 60+ and i am willing to bet there are people with more out there.

so to sum up games are alright and fun and cheep enough to give it a whirl with out blowing too much money
